If you’re using the SkyPrivate chat app in Google Chrome, you can translate voice calls in real time using a browser extension.
What you need
The Soniox – Live Captions & Translation Chrome extension
How to set it up
Open Google Chrome
Search for “Soniox Chrome extension” or install it from the Chrome Web Store
Install the extension and log into your Soniox account
How to use it during a call
Open the SkyPrivate chat app in Chrome
Make sure the Soniox extension is active
You can use it as a popup
Or pin it to your toolbar (recommended)
Answer your call in SkyPrivate
In Soniox:
Select your preferred translation language
Click Start recording
5. If prompted, click the Soniox icon in your toolbar to activate it
What happens next
Everything the other person says will be automatically translated into your language
You can see the translation:
In the Soniox panel
As a translucent popup on your screen
Important tip
Enable “Transcript Translation” to display only the translated text (without the original language)
This is especially useful for communicating with members who speak a different language, making your calls smoother and more efficient.
