On iOS, Discord blocks access to age-restricted (18+) servers because of Apple’s App Store guidelines. That’s why you’re seeing the “Age-restricted server” lock screen. Here are ways to resolve or work around this:
Use Discord on Desktop (Windows/Mac):
Open the same server on the Discord desktop app or the web browser (discord.com). Age-restricted servers are accessible there without Apple’s restrictions.
Use Discord on Mobile Browser:
Go to discord.com/app in Safari or Chrome on your iPhone. Log in and open the server. This bypasses the App Store app restrictions.
Enable “Explicit Media Content” in Settings (if available):
On desktop: Go to User Settings > Privacy & Safety Allow “View age-restricted content on servers I join.” On iOS, this toggle won’t appear because Apple blocks it.
Use Android Instead:
Discord on Android doesn’t have the same App Store restrictions. If you log in there, you can access those servers normally. The error cannot be fixed inside the iOS Discord app itself — the only real resolution on iPhone is to use Discord Web in Safari/Chrome instead of the app.
