How to Find a Member’s Teams ID (Browser Only)

Why is this helpful?

Spotting a member’s Teams ID allows you to:

  • Use the SkyPrivate Lookup Tool to get more info about members

  • Report a member quickly using the correct ID

  • Confirm if the person you're chatting with is a SkyPrivate user

Important Note:

This method only works on the browser version of Microsoft Teams (Chrome, Edge, etc.).
It does not work on the desktop or mobile app.

How to get the Teams ID?

  • Open Microsoft Teams in your browser.

  • On your keyboard, press:

    Windows: Ctrl + Shift + C

    Mac: Command + Shift + C

  • Move your mouse over (hover) the username of the person you’re chatting with.

  • You will see the Teams ID in both:

    • The code that appears when you press the commands.

    • The pop-up when you hover over the username, just like shown in the image below
