In OBS Studio, select Settings ⇒ Output.
At the top of the drop-down Output Mode menu, you can select either “Simple” or “Advanced” mode:
Simple Mode
. If you choose the default “Simple” mode, these are the parameters you must select:
Video Bitrate ⇒ depends on the resolution you will use and the internet connection you have (try different resolution and bitrates to see which suits your setup)
Audio Bitrate ⇒ select 128
Advanced Mode (we recommend you use this one)
In turn, if you choose “Advanced” Output Mode, you must check the parameters exactly as in the picture below:
Settings:
Rate Control ⇒ CBR is preferred
Bitrate ⇒ depends on the resolution you will use and the internet connection you have (try different resolution and bitrates to see which suits your setup)
IMPORTANT: Keyframe Interval ⇒ select the value of 2 s
CPU Usage Preset ⇒ “veryfast” or “faster” is recommended
Profile ⇒ “Main” or “High” is recommended
IMPORTANT: Tune ⇒ select “zerolatency”
In case you have selected a different Encoder than the default one on this section, ensure that you select “No B-frames”. Note that this is essential for the stream flow.
